no its left over parts due to the downsizing of australian exports of the pontiac gto range.
with GM in financial trouble, they are trying to make limited edition cars out of stock already produced. much like all other car make brands that are bringing out limitied edition models, all they are is dressed up left over stock to get rid of everything before a new model is brought out. |

Thats ugly, and holden just suck, like christ they have to join every other car make to steal/share parts and designs, cause there to lazy to put thought into a good aussie car, then they get american alloytec rubbish engines from america that can't even pull the skin off a rice custard, they get there V8's from chev, corvette V8's ect, where ford make there own parts/engines and designs, they really are pathetic and they got there VE statesman front end design off Mercedes, lets say this least ford can design and build there own cars/engines, unlike holden they go broke, then brag about being so great, and join every other car make to get there designs and big note them selves they need to lift there game because we all know ford won this battle a long time ago, sorry Haldon dunnydore ford win.

I don't know if it is the angle of the photos or what but they atcually look quite a bit worse than the pontiac cars the atcual parts came from.
Also, where is the holden badge? Too stingy to get a smaller badge made up that would fit on the centre bit where the pontiac badge used to be??

Call me a anti-cynic, but I reckon it might look ok in the flesh. Least it'll stand out from the now not so standout SS fleet.....and give it greater differentiation from the cooking models.

Slap me if you like but I actually like the Pontiac nose. Better than the Holden grill; seems to go better with the over the top wheel arch flares.

Good on Holden for not wasting left over parts from the G8, thanks to there American counterparts. I actually think it looks quite good, and at least its not wasting anymore local money. Some people are so one-eyed when it comes to ford/holden branding they cant see the forest for the trees.

Not that it matters but I thought the Holden V6 was a global GM engine to be used globally in a range of different brands, not any 1 particular GM brand. There are several different stroke and head configurations
Irrelevant to the topic though

still not a fan, looks too fussy at the front, and never really liked the big Hilux flares(but thats just me), and surely bringing out another cosmetic "speshal" every second week will do nothing for resale values, sell at any cost?.
