Default Anyone have experience with Royal Purple oil?

I have a friend who swears by Royal Purple - keeping the valves lubricated when the engine is still cold on start up etc. Just wondering if any of you guys have positive or negative experiences with it and/or any comparisons to other oils. I have seen the You Tube demo, but I would rather hear about real life experiences. Cheers.

If you search Royal Purple there are many threads, also the test linked below has proved worthy of debate, Royal Purple did very well:

That oil test was done by the guys at Street Commodores, and was the subject of many legal type letters after its publication, mostly surrounding the validity of the testing procedure vs what they were trying to prove.

Can't remember if they ended up printing a retraction or not but I do remember something being written with plenty of spin as to why they felt the test was fine

Cool, thanks everyone, and thanks Falcon Coupe for that article. I might give it a try, see if I notice a difference.
