Wow! I didn't think there were any late model Falcons over there, let alone a ute!

It would be a very unique car over there I suppose. Although good luck with parts!
Do you get many comments on it?

there is a limo and hearse company in the uk that imports aussie fords for their own use, and sell off a few as well.

It was bought brand new from titan ford meliville to ship over with only 21k on the clock.

I have since found out he imported 2 new utes over but yet to see the other one.

I know of a 2005 F6 typhoon saloon over here and seen an XR6 sedan also but 03 model.

im on the look out for a V8 FG to ship over now.

it gets everybody stopping to ask what it is wherever it goes.

Mainly holden utes that are over here as there are a few specialists bringing them in and you can order new from the vauxhall dealer her. Even though still rare to see a holden ute driving around to.

yeah seen that advert the guy doesnt have a clue what it is.

more like a 2000 Au with LPG. the T registration indicates a 99/2000. That would be one from the hearse company as they brought them in and made them LPG but stopped it in 2002.

It does say later on in the description that it is factory lpg, but seeing as he says its diesel, I wouldn't put too much trust in that.

Good on you! Great to see these cars in the UK. How are you sourcing your FG V8 Ute? I have the FG XR6 Ute in LPG and just love it. Drive the GT-P once a week or fortnight to keep it happy but love the ute for daily.

Plenty of contacts on here to help you find the new beastie.

Cheers
Gaela

im just going to fly over and buy it new from dealer.

Ive managed to get all my servicing parts so far from a contact in OZ and getting my suspension bits from the UK Pedders suspension dealer.

As for the Advert on the green one.

It will be a coleman milne import with a conversion to LPG.

They only ever imported green ones for some reason for 2 years then stopped as they more deal with limos and hearses.

they probably would import me a sedan no probs but charge the earth for it.

At least you will have a very unique over there.

I was in Ireland a couple of years ago and in one of the small towns i saw black VY/VZ SS ute, it stood out a bit.
Would be fun and scary on them small and winding roads.

What happens if you smash a windscreen, for instance. I can't imagine BA windscreens are thick on the ground over there.

All in hand.

I have a spare windscreen in my shed brand new and also a tonneu cover but i much prefer the hard lid on it with pusuit spoiler.

Not really difficult to get one shipped over though.

I get all my parts express shipped so its only 4-5 day wait.

As part of my insurance i took out windscreen cover and key loss cover so its their problem in the event of a major problem.

This is the thread I've been waiting on for years After having lived in Melbourne for 7 years and owning both an EA II Ghia (don't laugh) and a series I AU XR8, I have been toying with the idea of importing a late model BF - FG XR6T/XR8/F6 to Botswana (Southern Africa). Surprisingly the are quite a few EL and AU 6s here including a AU II XR6 and several EL XR6s and I once stopped an ED Futura.

Anyway I've always wondered where I would get parts and more importantly where to go if any electrical gremlins that required the ECU or BCM to be looked at. Who does these kinds of things outside Australia and is the diagnostics hardware/software unique to australian fords or is it the same as the equipment used for mondeos, focuses etc>

Im sure there are plenty of people on here who can help you with parts.

I dound a guy on one of the falcon forums. Chris @ Rapid Racing systems who has sent me over a whole heap of service items and coil packs etc.

most garages are willing to send stuff. I always express ship it as im not willing to wait for normal mail via ship as it can be over 2 weeks.

Ford UK dealers can plug my ba ute into the diagnostic machine and read the ecu and codes as its OBD II compliant.

As for suspension im pretty much using pedders suspension as its the only uk dealer and is cheaper than king springs plus the shipping form OZ.

I have so far ordered uprated bottom ball joints, drop links rear leaf spring bush kits and a heavy duty front sway bar.

My next step is to get plazmaman intercooler kit and hoses.

Im not to sure if rapid systems is a sponser on here but i can pass on his contact details no probs.

Pedders are better than King Springs anyway, they make good kit.

AU utes were imported to the UK new as LPG cars. There was/is a dealer in London (I forget the company now) that sells them new.

I have a few pictures of a BA/BF ute at Notts Americana in 2007 (I can't see your pics as I'm at work and the filters won't allow it).
