Default Fuel surge

Hi all

I have been having a fuel surge problem when I'm down to around 1/2 / 1/4 of a tank. The fuel pump and pressure regulator have been replaced. Its a VCT 6 too.

After having a search all I could come up with is I could rotate the pump so that the filter sock faces rear. Is there anything else it could be? My mechanic is a bit stumped too? I spoke to another mechanic as well and he suggested perhaps the swirl pot is stuffed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is really ****ing me off haha

Cheers
Adam

New pump and filter usually fixes that problem ,not sure ware the swirl pot idea has come from unless it's after market and fitted, Next step get the injectors looked at and maybe put on a dyno to get it analysed

Cheers

I had considered injectors but dismissed them as the problem seems to be fuel level related.
