Default Coilovers Suggestions

Hi Everyone

I'm currently building an Au Track car and i'm having a little trouble sourcing a coilover kit for it. It's a Sedan with live rear end I've spoken to my local suspension wholesaler and they said they couldn't supply anything. Also looked around on evilbay and google and couldn't find much. XYZ do I kit but their kit is for occasional track use as is the pedders kit would these cope with track only use ?
I'd like to go with tein as I've heard lots of good things about then but i'll only be able to get fronts (which are ba ones) and i'd prefer not to mix and match.
Could anyone give me their thoughts or provide a link to a suitable kit ? I want something that is going to last and be reliable. Comfort isn't an issue as the car will never see a public road.

Cheers Lorenz

I have Tein in my AU ute and they are fantastic. They definitely do (or did) do a set for AU's, I rang them at the time and made sure what I was buying was not BA stuff and he told me part numbers for both BA and AU coilovers. This was about two years ago though. I would ring them and enquire.

Ute is different to a sedan. AU live axle doesn't share rear suspension with any other model, esp. BA as they're all IRS.

Thumbs up Re: Coilovers Suggestions

I have the Pedders- Extreme XA Coilover's on mine! And I know mine is a BA Sedan but I'm glad I bought them!! You can go the next step up where you can change a lot more like dampness etc But I don't know what there called but there a fair bit more expensive then the XA's! But the XA has really made my car like new !It corners amazingly with no body roll! Handles bumps! I could not fault them for what I needed!! But you just have to set them right for what you want! which may take a couple of laps! Because you can set one side of the car different then the other! I'm just saying that the Extreme XA's are Fantastic!
They reakon the next step up in Pedders is like setting it up so your car can handle like a V8 Supercar! Thats just what I heard! The XA's are really easy its just one dial where the next step up there's alot you can do so can take longer to set!
I don't work or have nothing to do with Pedders but I have there Coilovers under my car and I have a BA XR8 ute and had an AU ute also and would think IMO they would be perfect for the Track!

Contact Shockworks ... and see if they have anything that may suit.
No harm I guess ... and from what I have heard their equipment is excellent.
They are a forum sponsor as well from memory.

Spoke to Brett about this already, IRS are still under development (2+ years) and no intention for live axle
