Picking the kids up from school today parked in the carpark (unfortunately near the oval) and a football slams into the car next to my XR8! If it had hit my car well you would be seeing me on the news tonight. The kids laughed, thought it was funny, if they had hit my car they wouldn't be laughing! :togo:

I have had a couple of footballs also cricket and even a golf ball dent previous cars
Football & cricket ball dents were minor but the golf ball left a 10mm deep dent You could see the golf ball dimples imprinted in the panel I try to avoid parking in possible ball damage zones these days and remember kids will be kids and the last thing they care about is the nice shiny car parked in the way |

I do some IT work for a couple of golf clubs and one of them has the front of the carpark with all reserved parking for directors, employees, etc right on the front of the golf course but most days these spots are half empty. Reason the club wont pay for ball damage to cars, so any one in the know parks onthe other side on the car park.
Now I dont know how this affects insurance payouts but insurance companies will usually pay out easier if your car is damaged in say a woolworths car car than in your mates front yard as they can claim againt woolworths insurance so moral of the story dont park in stuipid places. |

Actually quite a funny story, which is related but we (my cricket team) damaged a chaps car with a cricket ball back when i was in high school.
Wasnt our fault it was a good 6 and it was the regional schools final. The shot went straight into the carpark (no fence). The guy who owned the car wasnt thrilled though, it put a nasty dent on the bootlid of his XF.
