I think Rove spends all week watching Letterman and Leno looking for ideas.

Firstly, the TV Week Logies are the biggest joke ever and have no bearing whatsoever on Australian television. Why? Because the voters are TV week buyers. Who buy's that rubbish? People whose lives revolve around soap operas like Home and Away and Neighbours. The likes of Andrew Dentons 'Enough Rope' will never recieve a vote from these readers. 5 years ago there was serious consideration being put into stopping them as those in the industry are well aware of its irrelevance.

Rove has no idea. Rove Live is a blatant copy of Letterman, Jay Leno etc. He has no competition and therefore stays on air. His idea of comedy is pulling funny faces at the camera when he runs out of rehearsed lines. And when that runs out he resorts to the ever reliable 'low brow' such as taking a bath in baked beans or the like. I think he insults the intelligence of his viewers in doing this as well as making himself look like a fool.

Rove lost all credibility with me when he interviewed Shania Twain a few years ago in the studio and she arrived wearing an AC/DC t shirt. He made some dumbarse comment asking why she would be wearing such a shirt. Rove's extensive pre interview research had failed to highlight she was married to world renowned producer Mutt Lang who produced at least 3 AC/DC albums as well as everything from Def Leppard to Boomtown Rats to Bryan Adams. I'm no Shania Fan, not even a mad AC/DC fan but even I knew who Mutt Lang was!

Peter Helliar is 10 times funnier than Rove will ever be. And Pete doesn't need to stick his face in Womens Day and New Idea every month to keep his exposure up. he's a genuine likeable character. Funny too!
