Default Value of EL Fairmont Turbo

hey guys,

just wondering, hypothetically, how much someone would pay for a turbocharged EL Fairmont.

Let's say, -car is clean and in excellent condition, has been looked after
-motor has done 260k
-turbo was professionally installed (none of that homejob stuff)
when motor was at 220k
-GT 35/40r turbo
-all high quality polished piping, 5mm thickness
-big cooler
-2.5" catback exhaust
-high quality custom logstyle turbo manifold
-electronic shiftkit
-6x9s, sub, amp n all that stuff
-sleeper style, looks stock on the outside
-run 7psi whole time, never boosted

So yeah guys, im not actually selling my car or anythin, coz mine is still stock... just trying to work out the value of various turboed fords.
but again, hypothetically, if you were looking at this car, and were happy with what you saw, what would your offer be??????

hard to say....mods really dont add value to the car....
my 347 stroker, trans work etc is about 10k all up, but i dont expect to get that if i were to try and sell my car....

unfortunatley,....couple of grand over the price of a stock EL
you dont make money by modding cars.....so if you're planning on building a turbo'ed EL, you better be planning on keeping it a long time

How can you run it at 7psi and not be boosted?

due to k's on clock i would sell the turbo set up seperatly to the car might make some money off it. as for the car a dealer would give u about $2000 if lucky $3000. Sucks dosent it.

Probably a silly question, but is it engineered?

It's worth nothing mate. Look at the various turbo cars for sale at the moment. ebmanuals car is mint, AU engine, 5 speed, professional turbo with wolf, and it's at $9k. Try making/collecting/installing a system like his for that money, onto a clean eb.

With that amount of kays on the engine, i wouldn't be putting a turbo on it anyway.

Falcon's take alot to be engineered as well, and without a RWC and engineering, kiss your turbo goodbye after one pull over.

this was just a hypothetical question, my car hasn't been turboed and I don't plan to anytime in the future. I was just interested in what something like that would be worth "value" wise... not so much i've discovered lol

oh btw EFFalcon, I'm in Vic.

Cheers guys.

yep, being in vic, and that making it legal is quite a costly exersise, theres not a lot of money to be had when selling a turbo falcon.

As trade, EL XR6's are only worth $2500 any mods and its worth less.

Wouldn't be worth anyting in the trade only to a keen private buyer.

This sort of car would appeal to someone young with little money to spend as you can get a BA XR6T cheap so i would say it would hold around $5k with those mods

To get the car engineered, takes way too much, you are better to sell the car with no roadworthy and the new owner get a roadworth with out any turbo gear on it and then it is up to them to put it back on.

I have considered to get my car engineered, 2000 just for the test plus test fuel, plus 500+ for engineers plus vic roads costs.
