Default Are BA N/A's welcome in your club?

Hey Guys,

There has been some talk in the 'Contemporary Aus Fords' forum about starting a club for the BA series owners. There are a lot of XR6 NA, Fairmont, Fairlane and XT owners out there who would like to be part of a club, but we don't feel like we would be welcomed in most XR car clubs unless you had a T or a 8.

I have a BA XR6 N/A, would I be welcome in your club?
Are they any N/A owners in your club, if so how many?
I wouldn't like to join to be looked down upon for having a NA6 and be the only one.

Cheers,
Doug

Ok, that sounds good, might come along and check it out. Can I bring my 10 year old daughter with me seeing it's in a pub?

BTW, I live in Caroline Springs too, maybe we have seen each other in passing?

So how many members do you expect to come to the AGM?

I think the consensus is any performance based Fords or modified Fords. This is a matter which will be looked at this year. So a stock BA XR6 more than welcome, a modded BF XT welcome etc etc.

Come onboard Doug, your ride would grace the club well. You won't be disappointed. Meetings are pretty casual too, with great meals available at good prices.

I would say you would probably get many inquiries here regarding the club, I'm guessing you will have a few flyers etc to hand out and you may find someone to take the SA role on, From my side I could not justify any leading role due to time commitments, but happy to help where i can.

I believe i may see you around lunch time on the day.

Pete

Exactly right Tony. Doug, it's all about sharing a common interest, and enjoying the events. The Club is family friendly too, so kids are welcome to all outings where possible.

Thanks Kev, it sounds pretty good. I will come along Wednesday night for a feed and see what happens.

I might be able to help you with your website woes as well, as I'm a website designer, if you need help that is.

Come to our club bud all are welcome this is why l set this club up as we don't look down on anybody for what Ford they drive as long as it is modified in some way ie: lowered, tinted windows, rims as we arn't really looking at the stock standard family car if you get what l mean.

Cheers Chris
