can you put a ED rocket cover on the ba engine so you don't have to modify the bonnet or is it ok legal to modify it

Wouldn't imagine that an ED rocker cover would fit on a barra, SOHC vs DOHC.

1: wtf is a rocket cover?
2: of course its legal to modify the bonnet provided you either dont cut the bracing (or reinforce the bonnet if you do)

rocket covers are the things that break when your car is a ride off.

The BA ones twice as wide and doesn't share a single dimension, so yes of course it will fit.

YES.......All ford Rocket covers are interchangable !!!!!! We only have these covers to keep the rockets out of sight of non ford owning people! Its our little joke that we still call them rocket covers and they havent picked up whats under them yet !

Thats silly!...

It's well known that rockert(tm) covers are only to stop the pushrods making dents in the bonnet.

Pretty much like cylinder heads, which are to stop pistons doing the same thing.

sheeesh - cut the guy some slack fella's.
Try and remember waaaay back when you were trying to learn things & after plucking up the courage to ask the older guys were laughed out of town.
Welcome to the Forums Dodgy2. In answer to your question - no they are not interchangable between the ED & BA stock motors as the heads are a completely different design.

Sorry... I was going to point out that it was obviously a typo (the 'T' key being next to the 'R') but figured that most would have worked that out.

Read what Wulos posted, mainly the bit about them NOT being interchangeable and then make up your own mind.

Why don't you stick some Nismo stickers, or Mugen stickers on instead, might fewl some noobs [/sarcasm]

im going to ask the first sensible question so far.
Why do you want to do this?
what are you planning on doing?
the answer to this might be a good place to start.
and No, it wont fit, but id still like to know what you had in mind.

It doesn't make sense anyway, if its done for bonnet clearance the BA rocker cover is probably higher at the front anyway compared to the ED version, to fit the VCT phasers.
