I went with the 70's although theres some good stuff from the 80's too...
I can't understand why people want to listen to radio stations that just play top 40 type stuff... 90% of it is rubbish that everyone will have completely forgotten about by this time next year... |

I cannot vote as there is no "all of the above". I was born in 1961 and my CD collection extends from every decade since then. The 1960s I like least but love the music of today. I loved the Beatles, Hollies and Stones as a kid. Most of my collection is 70s, 80s, 90s and today.
I think it would be a sad day if I thought every piece of music I was ever going to like has already been written and I was never to enjoy somthing new. One thing, I cannot stand the 50s, I dont knock people that do though. Cant all be the same. Steve |

It's a hard one my favorite band of all time Black Sabbath started in the 60s although I'd call them a 70's band really & the 70's gave us the Ramones & Motorhead but then again it wasn't until the 80's that we got Slayer & what would the world be without them.

Voted the '80's, but also like plenty of stuff from the '70's too.
Probably could pick a few songs from the later years, but otherwise tend to prefer the older tunes. Ed |

went 70's because of the classic rock but 80's metal was a very close second.
