was talking to my mum today and she told how my old man hit 4 roos in one go last week. Thankfully it was in his truck but the truck still ended up getting damaged as it does not have a bull bar smashed the front 1/4 into one of the front tyres and jammed my mum said he was parked basically on road with his hazard lights on and not one person stopped to help he wasnt hurt but those 4 roos were.

My stepfather hit about 30 emus in one go.
They all ran into a tunnel and unfortunatly for them Country Passenger Trains dont swerve or stop real well. Was a bloody mess too. They had to stop outside of town before they got to the platform to wash all the crap off the train. Would not loo to good pulling up at a station with 30 odd emus worth of bits hanging off the engine.

I remember the roo Jim Richards hit at Bathurst last year was pretty spectacular, although only a single roo.
And imagine if they weren't under the yellow flag :

He's lucky though, been driving for over 25 years and has never killed a person. Thats so rare its not funny. Most drivers kill a person within 5 years.

I used to ride from Longreach to Brisbane and back, every couple of months, I had the adrenalin going when I split a mother emu from 28 chicks ... I had to pull up and count them!
I've also had 'roos pull back... they would have been gone! I've cleaned up a few roo's doing the trip by car.. so many XC GXL Grille's gone! |

In one go I’ve only ever hit two. Back in 1996 near Tomingley, south of Dubbo. The bas***ds broke two headlights and cracked the bonnet on the T900. In the last fifteen years I’ve probably cleaned up 120 or so.
Cheers, Danny

The old man was driving his truck and was stuck behind a school bus on a country road. He noticed the bus slowing down and assumed that it was pulling over to drop some kids off. He pulled out and when he was coming along side the bus he saw the first sheep. Three more sheep later he was passed the school bus. Apparently the kids in the bus thought it was great!!!! Farmer wasn't so impressed.

Hehe you guys should try carrier training at Puckapunyal. I think driving thru a big mob scored me about 15 in a row through a big paddock in on straight line. Another half dozen or so when they decided to hop across the range during a .50 cal shoot.

I hit a dog at 80kph once... As I pulled over, a drunk stumbled up to the roadside and goes "mate, have ya seen my dog?"
Then a toyota of some sort drove past & hit the dog. Then the drunk's kids came up calling out for the dog. Then a commodore hit the dog. Somehow I got roped into packing the sack of blood, shit & fur into a box in my boot, and dumping it 5km out of town. : The kids were told that the "thing" on the road was just a "Really big cat" :Reverend: Then I went home for tea, but for some reason I wasn't hungry! All I could smell was dog! The End. -Dave- PS I haven't hit a roo yet :eclipsee_ |

Hit two in one go mother with joey.
Also had some bird hit the car then took out someone elses roadkill, big roo dragged it down the road bloody thing had to be wrenched out from under the car - really glad that it was dead. Allthough the blood left this horrid smell throughout the car. |
