There is...

God, what a line up! There just so tough!

I agree XB FTW! I like the lower spoiler!

XR is classy and the XY's are in between.

Most of the old collectors are cashing in to put the money into Superannuation as it is tax free for amounts up to $1mill.
It is a good time to sell at the moment, many silly cashed up buyers.

Its not like they make a percentage out of the sale. I had a word to the blokes there and the buyers premium is $500 flat fee. So chasing them for that reason is out, it can only be to promote the cars and their company. And in hindsight they would have a big list of all the older cars as most you will find are insured with them.

always wanted a gold XR , they just look special.

either XY would do to make up the trio.

Looking by the responses in this thread, the XB seems quite popular.

Even I think its the most desirable out of the bunch, also helps being probably the most affordable. The XY's are well out of my reach.

Should have a poll to see what people reckon the XB will go for. I'd say well over 45 grand (depending on the actual condition of it).

The XR also seems desirable, however its hard to judge the condition of any of these without looking at them in the flesh.

45K for that car is a great buy. With those options it's quite desirable.I suppose if it didn't have quite a desirable list of options it would be quite a boring car..The colour and trim is a nice touch too.

No, they make more than that. Seller pays around $500 prior to the auction, then Shannons takes something like 3% of the total sale price. So the seller needs to set their reserve taking this into account.

Then the buyer forks out their bit to Shannons... I'd say they're doing quite nicely out of the current sales boom.

I think the reason Shannons is getting so many good cars is because they do such a good job of promoting and selling them for the best price. I'd certainly use them again.

And there was one in the Herald Sun down in Melb as well...the two XY's were the ones pitured.

And has anyone been down to look at them? I did, and some of the reports on the cars are unbelievable. The cars look so mint and original in the pictures and there were around 5 cars my dad was looking at. They all had either rust or engine oil leaks.

The Phase 3 had oil and the backing plates of the rear brakes. Suspected axel seal failure was wriiten down as a possibility.
