Default CAPA flash tuner on AU turbo

Just a quick qeustion, not sure if anyone will know an answer.
Is the CAPA flash tuner (AU, BA, BF, Territoty) able to tune turbo Au's?
I know it can do AU's but do Au turbos fall under the same category?
Thanks guys.

I can't see why it wouldn't, if it can tune XR6T's to some of the power figures they put out it should be able to tune the AU similarly.

I know.
Its just I have most of the parts here. I just need something to run it (CAPA flash), injectors (24lb+) and some piping and then install and tune it. But then theres other extras like an LSD, and a shift kit and tranny cooler. A gearbox rebuild if it blows, and a new engine if it dies. But all that still works out cheaper than buying that GTR, lol.

I found out yesterday Magna 2.6L injectors are the same as the Ford Motorsport 24lb injectors (and I think a hell of a lot cheaper as well).

The Flash Tuner will be able to work and a forced setup how ever you will be paying a fairbit more for dyno tuning to get the same result as you would say a wolf v500 or other After market ecu you will end up paying about the same for tuning alone as what an aftermarket ecu installed and tuned will set you back as tuning a flash tune is not on the fly.

orange ones are used in eseries V8's, from memory they are somewhere round 18lb but not 100% on that.

Blue tops are standard fitment on all AU V8's and are 24lb.

Why I was thinking of the Edit instead of the other types, is that the Edit is regularly going for under 600, and the other types go for up to 1500. That leaves me with 900 in tuning, before it even comes to the purchase , let alone tuning, price of the other types.

Yeah i was going to go down the same route and investigated this. You will most likely pay more than an aftetermarket unit is worth in just tuning on an flash tuner and once you make more modifications you have to do it all over again. It would be a nice cheap option but it is not the case.

You want to be careful with Bosch injectors, colours, and flow ratings......its not as straight forward as it used to be.

I've got two sets of identical looking blue Bosch injectors. One set flows 39lb/hr, and the other set flows 24lbs/hr.

Also...not all flow ratings are at the same fuel pressure (i.e. XR6/XR6T/F6/"Magna" injectors).

Safest bet is to cross-reference the part number.

Edit v's aftermarket really comes down to personal choice. My local flash tune shop reckons that when I put a blower on my AU, they can wire in a MAP sensor that measures boost as well as vacuum then edit the ECU to respond to boost (rather than just editing the existing advance/RPM/load map). This should give protection from pinging on overboost, probably more important for a turbo setup than my planned CAPA kit.

That's what I was told ... don't just go off the colour .... make sure first that the part numbers and flow-rate and pressures are identical.
