Good work mate!

You bought an engine without knowing or researching what you have to do to fit it?!

It's not very easy to get the VCT running properly. Easy enough the fit with some mods, but not easy to get running well with the AU computer.

FTG a site sponsor did it. I've not seen any progress for a long time though. They may have it sorted now though, and I've just missed the news.

Try giving them a call.

All the best with it.

It'll bolt in, that's the easy bit!

There are a few more changes than just fiddling with some hoses though...

AFAIK nobody has got one successfully running in an AU yet, so you'll be a bit of a pioneer!

FTG Auto Salvage did get one in, but not running well, so have a search for their thread on here, there was a fair bit of info.

Good luck!

Easiest/cheapest would probably to go aftermarket engine management with something that can control the cam phasers for you.

Dansedgli has done this swap into an E-Series and I believe is using an XTC EMS. I'm sure there would be a few aftermarket computers that can do what you need.

At this stage it certainly seems as though B-Series 4.0L into AU (or E-Series) is not so straight-forward or cheap.

i started a thread on this a couple weeks ago....

and after doing the research.. deemed it not worthwhile for the gains it would create...

getting the engine in would be the easy part.. but as stated. it's getting the engine running thats hard...

there are rumors the BA ecu can be edited to run ONLY the engine... i'm yet to see any proof of this.... call capa.. they might be able to answer soem questions...

good luck... i think you may have bit off more then you can chew tho.....
