Default New 260 PB's and Records!!

Hey guys, made it to calder with the paint still wet on the falc, 13.58, couple of dodgy 13.6's (traction not good) and went a PB 13.50 on street tyres.

Im wrapped - standard exhaust!! I was knocking on the door of a 40, I hadn't let the car cool down, and then it was all over.

Mark (XRFPV8) ran a 13.53 on drag radials - a great time, Marks PB in the car and great since we dont see it out on the track too often - the old girl still has some torque too - a 2.04 60 on that pass.

Dave (SLY XR8) lived up to his name with a 13.30, resetting the auto record and again, was knocking on the door of a 20 before it was all over. he also ran three 13.33's in a row, proof its still the one.

Rods twins produced some more magic, 3 tenths of his PB, and GEEA

OH MY GOD!!!!!

10.87 at 129, what a machine!!

Special mention to Mark (XRFPV8) - I tried to talk him into racing his car this week, as he has a lot of commitments but told me he might run it and has not let anyone down by tearing out a PB. Hope to see you out there in our 260 invasion next week.

Well done to everyone tonight. I did come out to see the Turbo to see if it would get a record and I missed it initially by a few minutes but then saw the 10.87 and the second 10.92.
Also saw Rod run his 11.5
Then all the BA XR8 utes! loads of them tonight. 13.3's everywhere.
Did the normal BA V8 ute (non-XR8) get a record too?
Also a 12.8 from turbo and a 12.2 from another. Pretty another one ran an 11 something???
By 8pm I was kicking myself for sitting in the stands and not dusting the cobwebs off.....
Must say it was entertaining as there was a wide variety of cars there tonight, a few hatchbacks having a go and the Yellow Ford Hot Rod...that was cool!

well done to everyone especially Craig...I have seen his car in the flesh in Adelaide and watched it run a 11.6 and it looked fantastic.

Chris, obviously the beer and pizza on Thursday night was the ideal preparation mate.

Looking forward to next friday night......hopefully the red baron can keep up with you guys and everything holds together.

Cheers

I do have video of some of the runs but I had the wrong setting on my camera so it is only 170 pixels wide : It is therefore quite hard to make some of the stuff out, and is flipping small  (can't even make out the timing boards) ie it is pretty cr@ppy.
There are 5. One of geea doing a 10.927. Two of Rods ute, one of Marks and one of the Blue XR6 turbo doing a 12.8. I was waiting for the XR8 utes to run against each other again but the track closed.
I only have a coal-fired modem so would prefer to send them a minimum of times. So it would probably be preferable if somebody hosted them. No problem sending them to the owners if they want to drop me an email.

Bring the car into the shop alex, as I have made a jig to do these, and have more than enough steel. I need to measure the beast up, then I will do them for free for you mate.

We will need to make the right one adjustable.

I don't think that set-up would work on the BA sedans mate, unless you mount them sideways. :

Alex, Caltracs for the BA utes are $850..
Here are some pics, the car with the wheels in the air is showing how good the caltracs can hook up..
There are plenty available for all leaf spring cars.. mainly for old shcool cars.
Next time your Calder watch the nice red Charger come out of the hole..
