Hey guys...
dunno if this is a common problem or not... but when i lock my car.. if i lift the drivers side rear door handle from the outside.. the car unlocks and the door opens... i've noticed when i lock the car it makes a really wierd noise from the drivers side rear door... any idea what is causing this?... and how the heck i can fix it?.. i'm just worried about stuff getting stolen from my car or worse.... and now i have to be wary about where i park my car.... Thanks Trent |

maybe your actuator has died and the door isn't locking at all. does it sound like it unlocks when you try to open the door?

where do i park exactly? out the front of my house.. :P... and at work which is atleast has controlled access by a security guard...
ahh ok.. actuator being the little mechanism that pushes the lock ??.. easy to replace?.. and would i just get one from a wreckers? or do i need a new one? and are they door specific?... ie. do i need to ask for an actuator for the right rear door? the sounds comign from the door when i lock it sounds like a strained attempt of the door locking... same as when i lift the handle.. and all the toher doors unlock |

get a new one they are expensive but if you use an old one you'll get the problem again and the acctuator is the whole lock mechanism and yes you must tell them what door it is for
