Question Can someone tell me what these wires are from or to?

I was cleaning out the EB and found these wires that look like they've been cut.

Does anyone know what they do, where they're from or go to?

Can't see anything pink and white around there on the loom, weird. Alarm maybe.

Could it be the wiring from the stereo/clock light? Because it's never worked.
Something I just remembered. *shrugs*

Meh could have been something the dodgy mechanic cut.

I could be wrong but the blue plug is possibly the mobile phone connector.,
if the wires are connected to indicator wires (Test with multimeter) then it might have been from an alarm.
i cant see the color of the wires they are connected to but if you get a schematic for the wiring it would also show you what they are connected to.

If you put a fresh battery in the eb apart from starting the engine does everything else work the way it should,if it does I would'nt worry about the wires till new engine is in.Then if engine won't start check it out.

wow, all those wires look soo neat and clean, my car is a mess under the steering column. My tip would be alarm or something like that. Electric brakes for a trailor.. does it have a towbar. I doubt that it has been tampered with if that's what you're worried about.

It doesn't look like factory wiring, as previously said it may be from an old alarm or a dodgy stereo install.

Ummm...

Actually I was picking up pieces of glass.

It has the original stereo, no towbar.

I guess it could have been a number of things, I'm not going to worry about it.

Thanks for your ideas guys. :voldar02:

Does your car have cruise control ??

mine did but for some stupid reason, they took the cruise control out and put on a normal non cruise wheel.

the Cruise computer is infront of the centre console bin.
:

see if you can see those wires spilced into the loom or something.

Can't see any pic but from the description, the factory stereos have a pair of pink and a pair of blue wires running to the speakers. Do you have an aftermarket stereo system making them redundant?

Any holes in the dash from where there has been a mobile phone kit? Or maybe an aerial on the backwindow?

Sorry, I had to do it.

I don't have cruise control, nothing aftermarket, so it's most probably an old mobile phone thingy or alarm. I'm not going to sweat it until something in the car doesn't work. Then I'll just blame the wires and say "I TOLD YOU SO!" :
