Default AU Gearbox Service

can someone tell me the rough price on a gearbox service for an automatic. i own a 2001 ford falcon futura classic. my gasket is leaking and ford are going to do a service on the gearbox and replace the gasket at same time.

am getting it done thru a ford dealership. what have u paid for a automatic gearbox service on a AU falcon?

I usually go to a trans specialist, and it's usually around $150 for a filter and fluid change - add an extra $100 for a full fluid flush.

My gearboxes are also done at a specialist tranny place, for the prices JC has mentioned.

when i had mine done at ford.. it was about $200.. and they dont even change the filter!

go to a good tranny specialist they will be cheaper than ford and normally do a better job. the gasket is replaced in the service anyhow, if it is the pan gasket that is

Yep, much cheaper and both the filter and pan gasket will indeed be changed for about the $150 mark.
