Yeah, dont use Carline. I also had a ho hum (not really a bad) experience with them. I was happy with the work, just not the quality of the system. And the installer wasn't the most switched on guy, although he did know a bit.

Highpoint Mufflers, they did my exhaust and were very friendly and slotted me in on the morning I turned up unannounced. They seem to be into Fords, too.

Northern Car Care, was a Midas franchise, but flicked em. Very reasonable price. Just had 2 cars done in the last week, they are in Thomastown.

There is a few around; I have used Kleenflo exhaust in Cranbourne, who did a great job on the XY on one side and have heard some v.good stories about Exhaust Bros in Geelong (a couple of mates had their drag cars done there)

Stat @ Highpoint is awsome he can actually get it right most guys in our club and the early falcon club use him as his work stands alone

He also did the Exhaust on the Performance Ford GT they did in the Mag a few years back

My brother had his AU V8 ute done by Performance Exhaust in Ringwood. He's running a full twin system with a tip exiting at either side of the rear bar. Sounds pretty good too....hehe

I'm sure they're all good, they've been at the top end of their field for a long time. You've nothing to lose by giving them all a call and comparing what they have on offer... Probably worth dropping in on Herrods as they're local for you - and they always have nice toys up on the hoists in their workshop!

I went to Radiant Exhaust in Footscray for a catback for my EB.
They were really great. Gave me a whole heap of options on brands/sizes/muffler combos, fitted it in about 20 mins and for an excellent price too.
They've got my vote.
