I love my xr8, but the front seats could be a lot better. Do Ba falcon seats fit au's? What would you all reccomend for luxury?

luxury or support is the question
luxury just grab a set of fairmont ghia or fairlane leather items

for support get your current ones rebolstered and some nice cloth put on them

leather retrims are $ depending on quality of the leather
but cloth retrims are relativly cheap and probably easier for a trimmer to do

good luck

how could you not like them AU XR seats, they are better than B series seats except for the GT and other FPV models with a little more bolstering
The B series seats should fit.

They are not a straight fit, rails are different.

My car is an ex cop car and an au1 so it seems to have seats very similar to a stock au (besides the black cloth trim) I might get them re trimmed.

I would recommend Fairmont Ghia seats. I am not a small person but are quite supportive, plus you get electric seats. Most Ghia seats are leather, added bonus. Or go to a trimmer and get some new foam and leather. It is costly going down this path.

As Austin has said BA / BF seats will not fit without modifying the seat rails. I do not know how hard it is, but have seen it before.

To be honest I do no know if the seats bolts line up. I have got spare AU seats at home. If someone has BA seats lying around we can check.

This could be very interesting and could help help with another mod option down the track as AU seats getter 'older'.

The B series seats should fit.
XR series and FPV series have the same bolsters. Exact same foam and cushion frame except the Super Pursuit and GT-P. So you can't say the FPV line up has better bolsters than the XR series

I will eventually get mine rebolstered and re-trimmed.

After seeing a set of AU XR seats in an EL XR8 at my mechanics ... the interior in that thing is awesome ... black leather bolsters ... red piping ... red XR8 stitching ... and BA XR pattern cloth inserts. I was impressed.

He spent a fair bit on the interior though ... the door trims has been soft-padded under all of the leather ... I think GT Customs did it ... it was a classy finish.

there was a thread all about those Krakey
they still look a bit plain and dont QUITE fit right(sort of like a really well fitted seat cover more or less)

dont forget the extra $300 fitting that a trimmer will charge for his time etc..

there is an AU i have seen around with them in (may be the car in the picture)
