i remember seeing this in the papers and i also recall a follow up story about how the truck driver is coping with it all. absolute tragedy and a an unfortunate end to those young lives. all the articles that i read didn't really explain how exactly it happened, other than the (camry?) that they were driving overtook the truck and then somehow it ploughed into the back end of the prime mover. do you know any more details about how they ended up going under a truck while overtaking?

I am sure they said something about it doing a u-turn, after passing 1 truck it did a u-turn into another

You're right unfortunately, I support threads like this because they really reinforce what can happen if you do something stupid or lack concentration on our roads.

unfortunetly this type of thing will keep happening it's bloody tragic and should never happen but it does. i have to feel for the families of the one's departed life still goes on for them and they have to live with the grieve, but i only wish that the younger generation would listen and take heed of what the older people tell them about speed and loss of consentration and realise thar they are not bulletbroof

my mate is an motorbike rider and ex sidecar rider and has a 17 year old son who even when he is driving beside him in his XU1 learning, still chooses to ignore him when he tells him its not a toy,
He hopes that if even one person see's the damage in photo then its worth it.as the young bloke of today have less respect than the last two generations so need to actually see the results to let it sink in.

No one needs to be reminded. Everyone knows, new and older drivers, what happens when mistakes are made ..... lives are lost and people/families are destroyed. This was taken off yesterday because of the negativity and ill informed comments made.

I replied to this thread yesturday, i knew 2 of the kids involved (there was 4 of them) and their familes (one is just down the road from our farm, know them well). There was no speed involved. I have checked the marks out on the road, from what the police reports state it seems the car was doing a u turn infront of the truck (missed the turn off to Willowvale before the eight mile corner). Now theres alot more to the cause then the media have reported (for legal issues I cant comment) but speed nor driver inexperience were the cause, it was something very stupid...

I dont see the point of this vehicle been shown around. PS the car was an early 90's, late 80's Honda accord.
