Arrow fuel pump changeout

has anyone changed out the fuel pump on their AU? i need to reseal the pump as it is leaking alot when i fill it to the top! not 100% but can i just pull the pump out and replace the big o-ring around the whole lot from the boot? or do i need to drop the fuel tank? cheers in advance.

i wouldnt have a clue. we fixed my fuel pump and i still cant fill it all the way other wise it smells like fuel lol

wat about the hose clamp that holds it all in? it looked pretty hard to undo in that little spot! but i''l give it a crack, it may be the supply or return hoses yet but will find out when it gets pulled out.

havent done it myself but i do know that there is no need to drop the tank, it all lifts out of the tank in the boot (have a look and that will make sense).

btw, your stacker is on the way!

yeh i popped the cover off this arvo to see and it looked like it does but wasnt sure bout the hose clamp that holds the whole lot. may even try fix this tomorrow if i can be bothered! yeh hanging out for it, as i got the removal prongs and they work a treat so hopefully it'll only take 5mins! cheers all for the help

a lot of the fuel tank covers in the AUs have been pot rivetet in, which woul require drilling and the dange of drilling into teh fuel tank, so take a pick.

droppoing teh fuel tank in itself is easy and takes around 5min to do.
od start with disconnecting the fuel feed, return and breather lines and then simple undo teh two big shackle bolts, which holds the tank in.

undoing the big locking ring on top of teh fuel tank is 1000 times easier outside the car than through the boot access pannel.
