Ok, so i bought a capa box off KPM with 3 generic tunes for the AU.
First impressions are pretty damn good. Feels good. Responsive. Used my mobile to get approximate 0-100 times and all were in the low 7's. Best was 7.06. Worst was 7.23. Road is very flat too Of course it will not be 100% accurate, but i'd say it would be accurate to within approx +/- 0.3s, didn't stop the stopwatch until it was over 100km/h on the speedo also (approx 105) Dunno what they were before, cuz i never bothered. Delivery feels a lot smoother over the entire range, being an auto the shifts are MUCH firmer and i dont notice an eggy smell when i floor it anymore No pinging as of yet, but will keep my ear out for it. Looking forward to see if fuel consumption improves also.. Was pretty bad before (around 350-400km). I dont drive THAT hard either Well worth the $460 imo

The difference is definately noticeable!
It just feels better, less sluggish, tad more responsive. I wouldn't be suprised if it is only a few extra kW's on the dyno, but it feels much stronger throughout the entire rev range and the shifts between gears are SOOOOOOOO much better imo. The street which i was on where i tested the 0-100km/h, i could of easily gotten upto 140km/h before having to brake, whereas i tried it a few months ago and i remember i didnt even get upto 130.

Hmmm, I am itching to plug my capa box in but I have to get rid of the unichip first, but I will post up my thoughts of the KPM tunes as well when I do.

It was a group buy Brent, a once off price for that, but give em a call and they might be able to sort something out, who knows.

I can't wait to hook mine up. I just have it sitting to the side waiting for me to pull finger and do a couple of other mods than I'm doing to get a dyno.
May as well get the most out of it that I. |

Mine is sharper, revs better and has more torque down low as well. I must have had it 9 or 10 months now, from when KPM did a special last year for $595 IIRC. Was the best price going then. Funny thing though is it won't hold any gear past just over 5000rpm, in either Power or Economy when in Drive. To get any more revs I have to hold the gears manually.

Awesome price you got there ayeyew!
Have the gear shifts firmed up a bit? Enough to induce chirping?!

Have you actually hit the limite at 6200? I pass the line at willowbank in 2nd still, at around 6400, but have spun 6600 on the tacho, but unsure how acurate it is. KPM generic tunes are great, also no speed limiter (not that you ever really need to go that fast, but if you boost it, you will on the track), great fuel economy, and .501 clean off my 1/4 time with no other mods. Best $595 I ever spent.

Gear shifts feel like they have firmed up heaps! When i decided to test my 0-100 ( in Drive ) From first to second there was a little chirp, nothing massive, it actually scared me a little cuz i had never heard it before, but i rarely floor it. It definately seemed to pull harder from the standing start! Now all i gotta do is get my cam and a high stall and i'll be into the 6's for my 0-100 : One of my friends who always bags me out about my "taxi", well i had a bit of a run against his turbo diesel Jetta... needless to say that shut his mouth

Was that price their normal price, or part of a group buy?

Hmm KPM isnt far from work. Might have to investigate this on my stocko. In saying that, has anyone got a stock AU they have fitted the edit to?

Funny thing is the shift points (in RPM) haven't changed with the diff ratio change.

No idea on the dyno, All I know is before hand I was running consistent 15.8's, and after ward consistent 15.3's. No other mods, and the same fuel economy.

am a little curious about lifting the rev limit to 6200, I have a haltech and with my custom tune the power starts falling around 5400..making 5300 to 5500 the optimum shift point. Has anyone done a dyno after the edit and the moved rev limit to see if it make power all the way to 6200? Also can any one tell me if the Au I6 has torque tags/
Thanks Rob

Im sure Im not making power till 6200, but at the track, I make up for that by not hitting third gear on the 1/4 mile. The difference in the time I lose when it gets into third, is made up by holding gears with less power.
