Default Piccys of my new old home ;)

Well I finally got some piccys of the new old house :P

Met the landlord today too .... he seems excellent & has approved in person anything needed to restore the house is a given .......... Has even offered a pony for the youngest to ride while hes not here

Have put the piccys on this link ...... is a freebie thing & it was quicker to upload them there

http://members1.clubphoto.com/lisa1...wner-7cca.phtml

I got a tape measure out today ....... need to know room sizes for paint of course

Heres a few of the stats

Loungeroom - 7.08m x 5.90m
Eldest two Bedrooms - 5.90m x 3.65m
Kitchen - 4.64m x 3.64
Dining Room - 3.64m x 3.64m (Yayayayay a square room )
Pantry - 3.52m x 2.83m
Main Bathroom - 3.45m x 2.83m
My Bedroom - 4.22m x 3.60m
Youngest Bedroom - 3.07m x 4.33m

Of course the room sizes are abnormal ... the house was built circa 1860's
I know theres a lot of work .... but with an open chequebook so to speak I cant wait ;)

What a beuty!

Old houses look so good.

New houses suck. You see these display villages and all I can say is: LEGO-LAND

What a beauty! Nice find Enjoy the renovations, she'll come up looking schweet mayyyyte.

I have the same deal with the house I am in. It belongs to the mother-in-law and we're not paying rent. Apparently we're supposed to be renovating it lol. It's hard to do on a house circa 1976 with mission brown and bright green everywhere...

Nice Lisa, lots of fun coming up.
Will you have to learn how to cook all over again on the combustion stove and does it also do your hot water.
Hope you've got plenty of wood.
Have fun.

What a classic ol' joint, reckon it'll come up a treat with a bit of renovation.
You have however, neglected to tell us about what I would call the most important
feature of any abode.. the GARAGE... Does it have one? or a shed or carport or a leantoo or anywhere you can store your tools, build something ,retreat to or just somewhere for the wagon to sleep in comfort

It does have a carport .... much to Lad_of_MBFNW's dissapointment it is only a single and thus the wagon will have a cosy bed & his collection of cars get to sleep outside ...........

I was out there again today as the hotwater system was leaking ..... got the local Electrician ..... there was soooooo much calcium in it that it took him 3.5hrs to get most of it out & then about half an hour to put in the new element ..........

He has checked the wiring & given it the royal OK ..... but the lighting needs doing .... spoke to the landlord & it MUST be done ASAP in his words ........ So with any luck and if I can get Dads trailer on Thursday the big move will commence :P

LOL Dad ..... if I dont talk to you before .... can I use the trailer please ... hehehehee

That is an awesome looking place Lisa, good on ya! It looks like it has so much character and so much ROOM! It would be fun to renovate a place like that because it would come up looking just spectacular! And the country air and all that land - YUM!

Must be a thing for moving houses Lisa - Eamon and I moved into our new place last week - just finishing off the unpacking, last of the boxes. Will clean cars, take pics of cars in front of house over the weekend.

Seriously Lisa, that place looks great, especially for the kids. Hope you all enjoy it and have a lot of fun there! We will have to come up there one day for a visit!

Well done Lisa and all the best with your project, hope it comes up good,i certainly would'nt have the patience to do up an old house and all the painting that's required lol.
I'll be looking to build in the near future need a bigger home with a backyard as the young tacker is growing up but it still will be in the big smoke.
Cheers John
