I'm trying to get the parker globe holder out but its not comming. I've moved the headlight globe out of the way, but I just dont want to pull too hard on it. Is there any trick to it or is it just a matter of forcing it?

i had the same trouble with mine... theres a tab on the side, the trick is to try push the tab back and pull the holder at the same time. Which is silly with the amount of space ya have to work with...

Yeah I saw the tab, but wasnt sure if that was meant to be pushed at the same time. Either way, I got it out. I just reached a finger in and pushed it out. Unfortunatley, I cant see how to remove the globe that fell out of the holder the other day. Its just sitting inside the headlight.
Bloody hell its frustrating. Even tried to pull the headlight unit out, but it seems it wont come out without the bumper off, at least not easily. I'll deal with it later, too frustrated atm.

if you have removed the splash tray from underneath already, the bumper is only 2 nuts, you can get the light out with out removing the bumper.- remove grille, and slide them out towards the grille.

Yeah tried removing the grill and sliding out the headlight, but its getting caught on something, and it looks like the bumper.
Also out of interest, there is 'High Series' moulded into the plastic on the headlight units. Both sides. Would this mean its been changed or have some low series falcons also got these 'High Series' headlights?

Theres not a whole heap of metal in the bulb though. I thought about that, but its kinda 'wedged' its self in there.

I might give it a go. I've got a rare earth magnet somewhere. Should pick up anything with metal within a 10 metre radius.

Ok, so my rare earth magnet did the trick, despite being annoying and wanting to stick to every piece of metal NOT in the headlight enclosure, I have fished out the parker globes. I have been able to install both the new globes.
Unfortunately the drivers side parker is refusing to work. I checked with another bulb, just incase the new one was faulty, but it still doesnt work. Is there any common fault that anyone is aware of? Any part of that wiring that can come loose? I can tell you I hate this job more than most others I can think of :P its bloody tight.

i found it quicker and easier to pull the headlights out everytime to change a globe. although my bumper is a big saggy now cause of it, and with all the practise ive had i dont need to pull the headlights out.
even when i put HID's in today in my custom projector headlights with less room to work with i managed without taking the lights out. im pro. suave, sounds like you may have shorted or damaged a wire or the bulbholder somewhere along the line.

Very possible due to the large amounts swearing that accompanied me today. Mind you I'd be more worried about the passenger side, as that was the one with all the troubles, the drivers side (despite having less room due to the battery) was comparitively easy. Yet the drivers side is the one that isnt working.
So I have one LED parker. Shame, cause it looks good, it'd look even better if the other parker was on.

LED parkers need to be the correct polarity ie + and - pull it out and try fitting it the other way, you might have it back to front

Tried it both ways, and also with a new standard fillament type globe. Neither worked.
