Hi i have recently purchased a series 3 XR6 and was just curious if the exhaust on it is standard or an aftermarket one. I havent seen many VCT XR6's so im not to sure what should be under there or how they should sound. Mine seems to have a deep sound to it at idle something i havent really heard from falcon 6 cylinders before, sounded like a video i saw of a VCT with a lukey exhaust fitted to it, it sounds awesome and has plenty of go particulary down low, im very happy with it just doesnt seem right but as i said before i havent been involved with the VCT before so its probaly how it is.
Id just like to know for sure what it is. here are the pics and this is the one that raised the most suspicion, towards the rear end of the exhaust is what looks to be a sticker of some sort you cant make out what it says as its worn off and all thats left is the marking of the sticker. cheers Mat

Looks like a redback system. The standard system is actually one into 2 into one (it uses the same sysem as the XR8, just one side does nothing), so what you have is definitely after market.

VCT sound pretty well the same as a normal 6 cylinder falcon
just a lil different when the revs get up there .. but not much different

Yeah thats what i thought it sounds alot deeper than the au wagon i have and thats why i thought it had to be aftermarket, and if it is a redback thats a bonus because i heard they are the best for the VCT and a few posts on this forum have suggested the same thing.
thanks JC for confirming it for me. cheers mat
