Default RTA new "Safety Camera's"

Anyone heard anything about these new so called Safety Camera's ?

http://163.189.7.150/roadsafety/spee...mera_faqs.html

I think i got done by one this morning, although i wasn't speeding(60 in a 70 zone).
Used to be a red light only intersection, but they added stuff recently it seems and i had a green light.
I had to go back and get it this morning after i finished work and there is a sign that says "safety Camera"
I also sat and watched it for 5mins, looks like everyone was getting flashed by it...

Seems more like safety revenue.

Welcome to Victoria!

Safety camera is another term for 'revenue raiser'

RTA have installed 50 Digital Red Light/Speed cameras across Sydney, but I'm not sure if they have turned them on yet - they will be rolling them out across the state in time. Means people can get caught twice for speeding through red lights. Its probably one of the few new RTA revenue raisers I agree with - the amount of Sydneysiders that run red's and run them VERY late is a little scary.
And I don't work for the RTA, can't stand them. I might be able to find out if the cameras are on though.

Discussed here http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11282846

and here http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11280493

When I come down to Sydney I always notice there is a minimum number of cars that seem to have to get through the lights when they change,4.
