My wife hit a pothole today and put a noticeable dent in her front rim. The tyre hasn't deflated (yet), but I'm reluctant to drive it for fear of it blowing out.
Has anyone got a spare Zetec rim they want to sell? Or does anyone have a recommendation for a wheel repairer in Brisbane? Thanks in advance. Murphy's Law I suppose, the Pajero is at the mechanic this week having $1k spent on it cleaning out the fuel tank and diesel fuel filter after a bunch of crap got into the tank somehow.

If they are basic 16's zetec wheels then there has been some on ebay just lately for 2nd hand ones...
Otherwise it might be a insurance job maybe? |

Yeah I saw a couple on eBay in melb for $300 but shipping is a problem.

Seems to be only wheels outside of Queensland. I have to sell my original 16" rims but have to sell them as a set :(

The damage looks relatively minor, so will take it to someone to see if the rim is repairable. Apparently the tyre places do this kind of thing (or at least send them somewhere) regularly.
As for insurance, her excess is $600 and that would count as an 'at fault' claim, so not going there.

Interestingly the spare I put on last night is an 80km/h limited tyre 175/65R14 on a steel rim. I was expecting one of those skinny space saver types. This thing looks like a regular tyre with plenty of tread etc. Suprised to see it is limited to 80km/h.

i bought a used Zetec rim off ebay. $215. Noticed there were a couple of others listed. $80 with greyhound freight door to door from Melb to Brisbane was pretty reasonable too!

I have a set of 4 you can have for $100 pick up from Bendigo Vic, 1 is buckled but can be re rolled the other 3 are ok. 2010 zetec 16 inch

Thanks, but as mentioned above, I already got a replacement. Your set for $100 would have saved me some cash though!
