considering the five day and new build rate of 209/day, it's right on target. Fresh Territory is manning up and pulling production up by it boot straps. So they are going to launch the LPI, and then one month later refresh the lot including the LPI, to FG II... Just brilliant marketing! They actually pay people to come up with this crap???

With 88000 vehicles bought in August, my rough estimate puts the total australian made cars at 14000 cars. Thus making it about 15.9% of the vehicles sold. 15.9% aint a bad average when you consider it had fallen to about 12 to 14% over the last few years. But one must remember that 4% of that 15.9% is made up of cruze production. 14000 cars a month aint sustainable in itself. The biggest issue isnt how many locally made cars australians buy, its how many locally made cars get exported, and how many of those locally bought ones are $30,000 wholesale commodores and Falcons, or $16,000 cruzes. |

I have to say, if I was looking for a new small-medium sized car i'd definately look at a Cruze. Only thing missing from the range is a true sports/performance model.
The SRi doesnt count since its less powerful then the diesel. |

Wow, SZ Territory is holding very strongly at that 1500-1650 sales a month mark. Those diesel sales are ticking over very well. It's sales rate is about 1000 a month higher than the SY2 was achieving earlier this year.
Now, to get the FG Falcon back over 2250 a month with the addition of EcoLPi. I think September will see a nice uptick from the current 1650 that we have seen recently. Ute will hopefully surge back towards 1000 a month with EcoLPi. Mondeo is continuing to hold 2nd in the medium segment.

Secondly, why do you state that the 300C with 9 sales maintains it's segment lead? Doesn't the Caprice have the lead of the upper-large segment? |

Also missing the Medium segment graph.
Hyundai I45 must have taken a nose dive in this segment this month if it didn't make the top 5. |
