It's great. Nothing for you to worry about though - wouldn't want the curtains fading because of "extra" sunlight, or the cows going off their milk.

Daylight saving is awesome.
They should never get rid of it. It should be here all year round. |

I must say when I was over east I loved it, and when we had the trial, again I loved it. But now we don't have it I hate it. Trying to get everything done before 2pm because most shops I deal with close at 5pm. Or the 4am wake up call because a call centre in melbourne/sydney opens at 7am.

No need to fiddle with the hands on the clock .. if you want to get up earlier to see more of the sun just do that. Simple.

Dear Daylight Savings,
Please never infiltrate our great state. Just because those southerners seem to have an inability to wake up an hour earlier if they need to do so, doesn't mean that we have.

The middle of winter up here is quite ok and it going dark just after knock off time is not a problem. Of course the southerners will whinge and moan that it is not suitable for their lat and lon but I care about that as much as they care about the effects of daylight saving up here..... Or am I just being ignorant and selfish...... |

My kids asked me today why I'm home early - had to explain that I'm home normal time (6.30pm), just that the sun is still up. They did the reverse at the end of daylight savings too - asked me why I was home so late (cos it was dark, whereas the week before it had been lightish still). It's too hard to explain that we change the clocks etc - actually, that's easy to explain; it's the "Why?" that's hard to explain.

This thread is about daylight saving not personal views of states. Keep it on topic or warnings will start to appear.

I love daylight savings. Let me give you one example. I can mow the lawn this week after work so I can spend the weekend sinking **** and watching the Bathurst. WIN!

Nothing like running after work in the daylight. Bring on the long hot afternoons.

After twenty odd years of having daylight savings, I miss it. In saying that, with the mozzies up here, you probably don't want to be outside basking in the sun at 8pm... :\

I loved in when WA had the trial, extra hour of daylight at night time, why the people that voted against it want extra daylight at 4 am beats me??? 99.9% of people aren't awake at that time and dealing with eastern state family/businesses is a pain in the rear end, gotta ring before 2 pm or you leave a message then they ring you back at 4 am!! WA parts/ tool/ hardware/ auto gear/ basically everything comes from the eastern states and it's a right cockabout
