I am cancelling the day because WSID have not responded to me for over a week now and therefore nothing has been confirmed.
We will endeavour to organise another SAU drag day in around March next year but until then we will still be fighting WSID to get our money back. Basically what happened was that after the last day was cancelled due to rain, WSID told me that they would be charging us $1330.90 in cancellation fees. This was contrary to what I had been up to that point led to believe by them and so you can understand that I was not happy. There is another issue outstanding and that is WSID want to ban all cars faster than 11.000 from our days. Again, this was not a rule we knew about beforehand which not only affects the people that run faster than 11.000 but also affects the numbers of entrants. I want to stress that both of these issues are still sensitive and unresolved which means that discretion in relation to what you say, where you say it and to whom you say it is required from everybody reading this. We await a response from WSID and will go from there. In the meantime we will endeavour to refund everybody although as WSID still have our $4000 deposit we will not be able to do this in full at the moment. Please post your attitude to being one of the later people to be refunded. Thank you. |

Ok I just heard from WSID and they will give us a refund in full although they appear to be hinting that we are not welcome back without saying it outright.
I'll give them a little while to calm down and then see what we can do about a date next year. |
