Hey guys,does anyone know how diffucult it is to change the crank angle sensor on an AU 6?basicly need to know what needs to be removed for me to get to it.

Pretty easy mate, 1- (optional to remove fan shroud & fan pack for better access, takes only a couple of minutes) clean area, unplug connector, 2- undo & remove 2 x 6mm bolts, 3- slide out old cas remembering which way it come out, 4- slide in new one, bolt up and plug in,(reinstall fan shroud & fan pack) remove any tools or rags and start car. Good luck with it.

VRS crank sensor-
Input will be bias voltage - 5v. If you are back-probing you will read the resistance of the sensor so it will be under 5v. Output will be an AC sine wave that is best read with a graphing scope. Voltage and frequency will increase with rpm. |
