can someone tell me what would cause the front and back windows to have moisture on the inside in the mornings on my au xr6.its only just started and takes the demister forever to clear.im thinking its because the cold and rain but my neighbours 3 ba fords arent affected how can i solve this problem. cheers

i read somewhere that if you have your climate control set to recirculate instead of fresh air it can make the condensation worse in winter,
also if you have any open bottles of liquid or a air leak it could contribute. |

Hi. Make sure the carpets are dry and pull the back seat out to see if the rear window has been leaking. If all is good try running the airconditiong and the heater together and on fresh. The reason the windows fog is the warm air holds lots of moisture that condenses on the cold glass and the AC will dehumidify the air before it is heated, helping to dry the air in the cabin. Have you recently had a new windscreen?
I had the same thing in my ute, 3 day old windscreen and a really cold night. Cleaned the windscreen with some windex and it hasnt done it since. Have a look at major caryards too, even brand new cars do this as well. Must have something to do with either new glass or a cleaner that is used in the industry. |
