I did hear a bang at around that time but I doubt it was an earthquake. Didn't feel anything out here in Grovie.

I'd say you probably would have had to have been right over the top of it to feel it. Definately nothing felt out here in Grovedale.

Its weird. When I was truck driving I would spend 2 to 3 nights in Christchurch each week and felt several aftershocks. A few of them was when I was sleeping and each time woke up about 10 seconds before I felt it. I wasn't the only one this happened to at the depot.

A 2.3 are you for real, sure it wasn't a bee farting ?
I'm sorry I shouldn't mock but a 2.3 is very small, in fact I don't think I've ever felt one less than 3.5, and in the last 2 years I half probably felt well over 100 quakes and not all from Canterbury either. One thing I do know is I will never forget Sept 4th 2010 and the 20 odd aftershocks over 5.0 that followed the original 7.1 quake. |

just a few minutes ago Melbourne north had quake (about 8.57 pm approximately), it was minor, just enough to make the house shake and make me run out the front to see if a truck rolled over in the front yard, probably went for about 15 / 20 seconds, with the quake in geelong the other day it makes me wonder if something bigger is brewing?
