Generally the principle is S1 for S1. You can go a S2 or S3 in a S2 or S3. If you actually have the cluster (i.e. haven't paid for it - as perhaps it's one you have spare or have been given) plug it in and see what happens. If you are wanting to purchase one, my suggestion is that you adhere to the principle above. At least you are swapping a high series cluster for a high series cluster. That should save you most of your trouble. The trouble arises when putting a high series cluster into a low series car (Fairmont or above cluster into a Forte or Futura). Hope that helps. GK

i've run a s1 cluster in my s2 without an issue

Just a cluster, i wrecked a wrecked s1fairlane and i want the bells and whistles for my s2 ute i preffer the s2 dash cluster to the orange s1 everything else will be s1 except the brakes of course!

I will............um.......when the dash goes from the junkroom floor into the ute, xmas holidays, the premo tape player i can live with as ill be putting the stacker under the drivers seat plus i have a cd player and dont use it, the orange dash, while others may like it, i was considering buying another wrecked flane! Someone didn't do there research and went and bought the 1st wrecked fairlane he came accross.
