There are rules regarding the posting of race results.

In future please post these in the Pit section.

I have a better idea. If you don't want to read race result spoilers then don't go on a friggin' car forum until you've watched the event! Not everyone reads the rules of every section.

PS. I wasn't the original poster of the "spoiler". I'm just sticking up for the poor bloke.

To be fair there is a dedicated motor sport area, this is not a dedicated motorsport site as much as it is a car entusiast site and there shouldnt be a need to avoid it to make sure you don't see results that you don't want to, if you went into the motorsport section however it would be tough luck

we won't hang him on this stand alone offence, but it "is" common courtesy

we all stay away from news services and the like until after we have seen it, so pretty much everyone who has an interest in motor sport should put 2 and 2 together and realise that letting everyone know the result without warnings is not the right thing to do

it didn't affect me, because i was not going to watch it, but i can understand why some would be upset - having said that all is forgiven from me . . . . as long as it doesn't affect me next time

i personally think it should only be tough luck if you went into the actual race thread - and if the race is delayed, then the result still shouldn't be posted until the tv has at least shown it, in my view

Are you kidding. Some people avoid certain areas. To have to avoid a whole site is ludicrous. Even if it was in the correct section,to put a result in a tittle is poor form. A little thought for others before rushing to get in first or upping a post count, would be a courteous thing to do.

I haven't seen the results on the news or anything though - pretty crap coverage.

I watched the last few laps - what an awesome finish.

This is the thread where his victory is being discussed. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11373710

I initially planned to not stay up and watch the race live, but changed my mind as I mysteriously suffered insomnia last night... I wonder why?

Despite going to the Ekka today half asleep, the sleepless night was definitely worth it.

It was oil on the track that caused the final 2 laps to literally go into chaos mode.
Having watched it from the start, I was wondering what on earth was going on, it was crazy! For a moment I thought it was because the tyres were gone before the commentary realised after the race that it was oil on the track causing the chaos.

Was a fantastic race and what a finish..........

I would expect nothing less, than Ford news like this, to be SHOUTED around this place!!! The race was not delayed, it was live, I know because I stayed up all night watching it; and still gladly got on with things the next day...

Go Ambrose go Ford!
