Default GM-volt.com founder trading Volt for Ford C-MAX Energi

Quote:
In hybrid mode, the Ford delivers an impressive 47 mpg combined city/highway mileage, way up from the Volt’s 37 mpg. The car is also reasonably priced at $33,745 before a $3750 tax rebate.

Now, if Ford can bring this here....would be a massive boost of image!

Looks like a Prius clone.

The Tesla wind hands down...but of course costs a lot more.

Ford have evaluated Hybrids and EV's and they have a plan on when to release them, so its only a matter of time before we get them here. I think the Focus EV will be the first.

Is C-Max the Windstar replacement? Or is it a segment down and based on a Focus?

It's Focus based, and apparently handles and steers pretty nicely as well (best in class, not that we would expect anything less from a Ford). You're thinking of the larger (Mondeo-based) S-Max, which despite having a name that sounds like an archaic form of discipline, is the MPV to buy if you want one that handles.

You should also take a look at the imaginative B-pillarless B-Max (Fiesta MPV) which has been recently introduced. Unfortunately we don't get any of these vehicles here, and most likely never will (we'll undoubtedly get Focus EV over C-Max Energi), especially while the manual Mondeo situation is still unresolved.
