what kind of 5 speed has it got? Probably a t5 or a toyota box.
Got a 351 myself and the sound is iaddictive. Always makes my push it harder than i should

They're a great car to do up as you don't see too many nice ones around & they're easy too make look tough with a nice modern touch with old school brute. The only problem with all post '76 cars is emissions standards can be a pain if you get pinged.

Go for it, nice car. If you want a suggestion, build a "Tru-Blu" replica. XD/XE's look hot with big-@rse rims out back.

Just budget every year for new door handles! I can't remember how many of those things I had to replace on my old XE

mate seriously xd's are the way to go if you want a good toy car or weekend car. I dont no much about performance wise but looks wise they are hot things just take a look at the projects section of the forum and have a look at my car. I non-stop get comments by ppl when ever i pull up some where or whenever i go out. I think its cause ppl just dont get to see enough nice xd's around, and when they see one that looks strieght and clean ppl's jaws drop. Its like if you see a realy nice and clean BA GT you just go yeah seen that before but if a XD thats stright and clean and all the rest goes by it stands out and ppl go "you dont see a car like that everyday". Well thats my opinion at least.
