Nice pics Neale.
The tank in seymour is a Leopard AS1. I do know of milweb, but most of the gear is overseas. Would much prefer something already in Oz. Some great Blitz trucks there in that shed of your friends, years of restos to be had. The grandson looks to have done a terrific job on the RAAF swb blitz. The 6x6 dodge may in fact be a GMC. Love the red x fire brigade blitz. |

Many moons ago I was in the RAAF. Had the opportunity to close and personal with a few bits and pieces. Took these shots at RAAF Base Pearce Open Day 2006
USAF B-1B, flown in from Guam as the star attraction Royal Singapore Air Force F-16 My baby - RAAF 79SQN BAe Hawk 127LIF. This one had a bad habit of not starting when the temperature got above 29 degrees. The business end of a RAAF 1SQN F-111C. My favourite of all time RAAF 75SQN F/A-18A Hornet, painted in special 20th anniversary colour scheme

The joke going around at the time was if you wanted an F111 just buy a block of land and wait for one to fall in.

A couple of weeks ago I had a go at pulling a 36 tonne C-130J Hercules. There was a group of 20 of us that pulled it over a 10m course to help raise money for the Special Olympics. It usually raises around $20,000 for them so its a great cause & a bit of fun.

If anyone here hasn't dropped into the Art and Photography forum yet maybe you should.
Fordomatic's pics are brilliant, you might have to bypass a couple non military pics but it's still worth a look. Starting from here............. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...1308066&page=9
