Default AU Front bumpers/bodykits

hey, I want to know what kinda bumper i could put on my ute. I was thinking about putting a Ts50/te50 but i want to keep costs to a minimum and dont really want to change the bonnet. i was just wondering if there are any others out there that i am unaware of that i would be happy with..

I dont particually like the hawk kit. but i seen a SVO front bumper and it wasnt that bad. Anyone else got pics of bumpers or suggestions

thanks
aaron

That ebay link is the Hawk front bar- TE style, what a joke!.

Try this one. It's called the Brumby bar:

Their website is http://www.canberracarstyling.com.au/index.php

Huh? I just disputed the "fact" that a brumby bar was on ebay, but asked for proof if it was.

Oh - and kids don't make you grumpy - far from it. Lack of sleep may contribute to grumpiness though (or hangover, or nagging wife etc) - but none of those afflict me at the moment.

JC I hear you man, maybe I was grumpy when I posted and needed to hear someone else's excuse to be grumpy, lol :evil3:

trueblue, Sorry to get off topic but I think there's a fair choice in the previous posts. Give AWC a call or email and discuss youre situation and I think you will be suprised. :
Just my thoughts anyway.

brumby bar is so god damn ugly, fork out a bit extra get a new bonnet and a TS50 front bar and skirts, then get the quad tip read skirt from AWC too... now your talking!

Trueblue - sorry, got as bit off topic, but you get that.

Here's a list of all of the known options for a standard AU bar replacment:
TE/TS50 bar from AWC
Hawk bar from AWC
Brumby bar from Canberra Car styling
The above 3 do not require headlight changes, but the TS50 does require a bonnet change if you have ute/XR/AU1 low series bonnet.

The following do not require a grille change, but do require a headlight change at a cost of approx $600 through The Dok:
AU1 XR front bar
AU2/3 XR front bar
XR50 bar (AWC)
Rspec XR front bar

As you can see, not a lot of choices, and the only 2 fitting your need of lowest cost is the Hawk or the Brumby Bar. Of the 2, the Brumby is by far the better looking.

There is another option it's a 3/4 front (not full replacement) made by Gruppe A or HO (Homologated Options) same business. Its a bit more understated then the T3 look, I also believe it was designed originally for Alan Moffat. Check out the photo for the front spoiler.

Cheers

That's not bad steve - makes the front look a bit like an EF.

I forgot about the C2R bar - they've gone out of business, but I think AWC have started building fibreglass versions of that bar. It is different to the TS50 bar, and has a seperate grille - one to suit AU1, and one to suit AU2/3.

not doing the C2R style front, only the rear. We were afraid it may attract more Japanese whaling boats....

id go with Glenn's suggestion personally

Well you better be quick. C2R fronts, are nearly out.

I was told from a supplier, that they won't be getting anymore. Just a few, to clear stock, from the factory.

Goodluck trying to find one, if you have an accident though.

IMO, go the Tickford kit, or keep it stock. Otherwise T3 Kit.

Cheers

tickford kit is very nice from the front and is fairly uncommon too.
Heres a piccie

I think the skirt will AU series 1/2/3 front bars. It may even fit AU1 XR's.

Heres a pic of the rest of the kit for the utes.
