All indicators point towards the DRL's in the XR's being "dual" in the XR tradition, with the other models having a basic strip...

From what I've seen of the two of them I'd wait until you see the FH xr8

Same as the current car feel wise,but much more sexy looking without the badges in the headrests

Gt is going to be just a freshen up dif super charger(I think;-) ) and a new bumper

I would wait

I remember the Wheels front cover, it had a phantom purple XR6 turbo with the heading EUROTHRASH, inside they compared our BA Falcon against some euro fords, also had a story of I think it was a blueprint BA XR in the US,

Not so much prototypes, they sent the cars over there to do the stories

They did it with the gold vt/vx too back in its day

I'm talking a white one in a grate god it got me grumpy at the time.

I wonder what US car guys will think of the FH when they see it?

I'd love for one of the car magazines to take a fully loaded FH XR8 to the states. They've done it before with Commodores.

if you're referring to the teaser video from 2012 than yes that was only like a 2 second flash...but the last teaser video from last year showed a fair bit more which had more light to show the main outline of the grill, lights, wheels of the front end...the led's in the headlights looked awesome and tough

Correct, the video at the Going Forward event. I think Joe and myself may have been getting the Sydney motor show and the Going Forward video (held in Sydney) confused.

Back on topic... Do we know if the EcoLpi and Ecoboost 4cyl motors will carry over to the FX? Are either popular enough to cover the costs of the crash testing...etc that I'm assuming Ford would have to do since the car has got a new front end?

Do you think they'll still offer manual option on NA XR, base ute etc? I hope they can improve shift quality on the TR6060 (?) If so.

There's no reason to suggest they won't, all continuing engine calibrations are carry over from FG II.

Go back and read the stories on the 351 that has been put out in the last few weeks(last one)

One of those articles was written by an ex Fpv bloke now in media
So their is something in their about what is and could be coming
its up to ford as to how much more than the "FH" xr8 it gets, if they want YOU to pay a prem over the out going car

I've gone on record that I've seen it and have a short grunt video of the orange one that they have been testing

It's all spec ATM

as I still to this day have the very first xr8 FG front that was changed six months in to its prototyping due to commodore and also the what you call black edition I've had that front since 2009/10

That cars been on the will we do it or not since then
