I'm extremely disappointed in the rear of the Falcon, it's practically a copy of my BMW's rear.
It has 2 tail lights, an exhaust, rear bumper and number plate, coincidence? I think not. To be honest, the crappy photo and silver don't really do it for me, but I do like the rear. In a darker colour/different spec model, it's going to look fantastic. Anyway done a photoshop with a lip spoiler? My imagination tells me that could look pretty good. |

Look this is your opinion and your articles unfortunately do not support your opinion. The photos that members here have posted clearly indicate influence from overseas models. Even the AU was influenced by the US design theme that was integrated into the Taurus. Fact of the matter is without looking to the rest of world and their cars it you can easily be mistaken in thinking the Falcon has it's own style theme. (EL-> AU really shows that huh ) Anyway back on topic. From the outside the final Falcon is finally a mature classy car. I know interior wise not much if anything has changed which is a great pity, but I still hold hope.

Funny how when I saw that first shot of the rear my immediate reaction was oh no, what have they done...
But having scrolled through I'm already convinced it'll look great. As long as it's not silver (No car looks good in silver) As long as there is no spoiler (Spoilers never look good) (In my factual opinion) |

The pics are looking great. The car looks sharp and is sitting nice for a big sedan. The rear has a Audi, Jag feel. Cant wait to see it in flesh. I reckon the VF will look like a large slug next to this. Please Ford.... lets have this car in red.

I think that would look a bit too busy... Ford Directly above it, FALCON straight under... Personally, I like the nice clean strip. Indenting anything on it would take away from the nice clean line it creates between the tail light reverse sections.

There's a heap of negativity in here... I predict it is going to look awesome and modern and that most of those currently thinking it looks *** will warm to it pretty quickly.
I think it compares very well to the FG G6E, the FG is looking very aged in the current market, and moreso compared to the FH.

why has that silver G6E got quad pipes? obviously not required on an I6 or I6T, so are they making a V8 G6E? that would be the kind of car i could keep for the next 30 years

It's just a PS someone did of the actual car to show what is "could" look like with some mods.

I think that photo isn't a good one to represent the rear end. I guess we will all be the judge when ford start to release the rear end. It looks extremely like a jaguar XF! I'm not as gob stopped as when I saw the rear of the FG first come out :( Looks more like a mondeo at the back now :(

About the only negative I can see from that shot so far would be the actual dimension of the boot opening, compared to the FG/II it look’s slimmer or narrower from side to side, if you wanted to put some larger capacity items in the boot.

That angle of the ute is not flattering, thats where the XR8 bonnet comes into play.
Image how hot a G8E would have been.

The ute in that pic looks a little awkward but we'll soon see.
The third pic looks good. From that one picture, the DRLs remind me of those in earlier model Audis. That's a good thing. I like the look of the car in the third pic, classy.

Well done on the pics.
I'm not a fan of the non-XR8 front ends, they look pretty plain jane in these photos, especially the ute.. Looks to have too much "nose" and plastic out there... even the lights look the wrong proportion... I so hope it is just these pics making it look wrong.. And as predicted, the centre stack doesn't look too different from what you can see through the rear window of the sedan.

The Xr8 is going to need to look alot 'meaner' than that Xr6 if they are going to sell me or the Mrs.
I don't hate it, but its not grabbing me with "I have to have that" initial impression. |

That's interesting because I think the low end models look way meaner than any FG.
