You are only as old as you feel...
I'm 34, and doing stuff I never had the $$ or the time to do in my 20's. I have friends who are older and younger than me, and I don't feel any age gap... To me, age is a number attributed to life experience... not how one should feel.

A few differences, some good, some bad.
1. Had to give up playing Rugby (which I loved playing) when I was 38, due to the fact that the mind still thought I was 21, but the body would tell me Im not 21. Every tackle at that age felt like you'd been hit by a freight train. 2. Hit my 40's and everything seemed much calmer in life, not so many highs and lows, maybe due to the fact that by your 40's, that your experiences in life allow you to cope with things that may crop up a little better or the fact that by your 40's, with any luck, you are more affluent and money worries are less. 3. Now in mid 40's, and have found my passion in cars that I once had in my 20's, in particular Fords. This passion had disappeared for many years, probably due to raising family, but it's back and better than ever. My wife calls this my mid life crisis. My thoughts are, if it is a mid life crisis, having a passion for cars is more fun, less hassle and a lot cheaper than having another woman as part of the mid life crisis. Dont know what the future brings, probably the body slowing down even more, but as long as the love of cars doesnt fade, it will all be good.

I'm still in the stage of wanting to be older (only by 6 months). The way i look at it, it's not how old you are but how much you have enjoyed life.
So far i'm having a BLAST! Can't wait to see what life has for me!

30 is great! I was like you, dreaded the big 3 0. But they say the 30's are the new 20's.
You're still young enough to do the things you want, but you have more money to do it now. You get taken a little more seriously by people as you're a bit older (and supposedly wiser????) You tend not to stress about so much stuff. Life is pretty calm, whatever happens happens, but you know after all you've gone through in your 20's, life will turn out just fine. ......and, as they say, women are in their prime, and you're only as young as the MAN your feeling. |

I turned 30 in November '05 and had a great party-misbehaved,etc but two days later, driving down a road I was overcome by an overwhelming sense of unhappiness- for 5 mins I thought that it was all over. I hated having turned 30 but now alls good.
As others have posted here, you have more sense to enjoy the good things and to still remember the really dumb things you did! It doesn't mean that you have to be sensible all the time-far from it! Someone said earlier in the thread, "whats the other option to growing older?" Long time dead, enjoy your life and make sure others enjoy your life too. py:

Racing the ute at WSID with Wade and Rich, associating with the guys at BPR, track days on the bike. It's your friends and associates that make your life what it is. If they are all sit at home pensioners, then your life would be pretty crappy. Hopr ther is not two many typo's as I can't fnd my specs. I wouldn't be dead for quids
