Ok yep let's get some convo going.
Yes I'm aware different cars look better in different colours. However what colour is your favourite when searching your next ride? I'll start with 5 in order; 1. Black. 2. Green (like Aston Racing) 3. Navy Blue 4. Silver (darker the better) 5. Red. Not a white fan but appreciate it can look fantastic on certain cars |

White - love Large sedan in a bright white colour, Think Ford's 'Frozen White' Holden Heron White or BMW's Alpine White.
Nothing is more gangsta than a black LWB sedan but I'm way too lazy to maintain a black car so white is my next best option |

Im a fan of white cars because they dont show the dirt as much. Id love something dark green as thats my favourite colour, but ive had dark cars before and they show the slightest bits of dust. |

Rosso Corsa for any non-commercial, either Barbie Pink or Shell Pink for a commercial due to conspicuity and reduced possibility of people borrowing.

Black deffinately looks great when clean. My grandpa had an eb fairmont in the dark green and i loved the look of that, also it had my all time favourite cloth trim too. The biggest punish for me years ago was when the then mrs had a white n13 pulsar with black and machined rims on it. The car was easy to keep looking clean, but those rims were both difficult to clean and dry, and any water marks or brake dust stood out like a dogs dick. My fairmont is lightning strike, easy to keep clean, but white on those cars i reckon is the go for looks.

1. Blue. That's why I painted my RX3 true blue, and why I bought the shockwave blue BA ute. Besides the cars I've owned there is a lot of appealing blues out there as well. It's a hard colour to maintain (and for ford to paint ) but when clean it just stands out and looks good.
2. White. That's why I bought the alpine white E34. I can be hard to try not make them look like a taxi or a refrigerator, but with lots of black trims and inserts it just looks cool with the contrasts. A 4 wheel storm-trooper 3. Green. EB-EF had nice greens (emerald?). Many decent mazda rxs came in green (70s and 80s light metallic), BMWs too (darker oxford), BRG etc. I hate silver and grey, so boring. black is only good with gold JPS trim and wheels (like F1 lotus, lotus renault and the e24 and e30 racing BMWs). https://www.shannons.com.au/club/new...red-the-world/ Red just fades to bad in my experience so I'm no longer a fan |

One trend im not a fan of is colours that can be easily dated. Things like when holden had hacket bronze and thorpe gold. You look at a vt 2 and instantly know the age of the car. I know one lady who has a pastel blue fiat 500. Yeah its cute and suits her to the ground, but it screams 2012 trendy at the time. Same with wheels. You dont see billet rims on new cars, but on an xd they look cool but say 1997 show car. There deffinately are some timeless paint colours. Spray anything british racing green, it will suit. My dads 1st car was a 67 toyota corona 2 door, considered jap crap at the time, but these days a cool car. The first time he rolled it got it done brg. Second roll was a write off. Same with in my opinion ford gunmetal grey. I reckon i (not that i ever would) could get my bf sprayed in that and it would look good. As much as i like the eb-ed green, i dont think it would suit my car. I do like the pearl white toyota did on the 2nd model of hybrid camry, but again, its not for every car. Or atleast thats my thought.

1. White
2. Blue 3. British racing green The second two are good to look at but I’ll always choose white if I have the option. Edit: Ps. Mustang orange is nice too.

Actually - there is a white that is on a Lexus SUV.
It's a really weird shade, like almost a polar white - never seen anything like it but its a deep almost fluro white.

But if someone gave you the new Mustang R spec would that change your mind. Forget about the colour, what about the noise. Saw the display laps at Bathurst last year and sounded great. And it's angry looking. Cheers Phil. All. Definitely white, we've got two cars both white, easy to keep clean. But my bikes blue! Cheers Phil. |

for a car. the original Jaguar British Racing Green.
I know this is for cars but I couldn't go past Kenworth's red Salem paint scheme.

I could handle a green stripe on a white Cortina but it would have to be the real deal.
