P&O is budget no doubt but as they service the SA cruise season its easier to just go with them than fly interstate and to be honest i dont care much about the ship or the destination i just want to kick back, suck **** and crawl to my cabin at the end of the day, lol.
Carnival are aimed at families with young kids so its a bit full on, not a fan of their buffets either.

My 1st cruise was 4 nights out of Sydney to Hobart and Melbourne on P&O's Jewel, an old boat showing her scars but for $132 for 4 nights how could you complain.
Standing on the forward observation deck at 6am with my Daughter whilst cutting through the glass like water of the Derwent and you forgot about how we got there and focussed on the moment.

I haven't done NZ yet but Mum has and loved the sounds.

Top Island was well worth traveling around also , but yeah the South Island was amazing.

I bet you wished you were back up in the top end again, not working but holidaying.
So many hideaways to be explored!

30 year holiday up and down the Eastern States and NZ, never thought of it as working.

Gives me the cold shivers to think about being trap in one place all year to have the allocated 4 weeks annual leave.

signed the littlest hobo..........

Magnetic Island is a great place for a holiday.
It's one of those places where you can go high end, budget or anywhere in between.
Plenty to see and do and the weather is great.
