Must have another look as there wasn't one there last time I went. Thanks.

edit. just read a blog about it, quite rare with the twin sliding doors.

And a 'z'-plate car, too. Don't see many of them around these days. When I was an apprentice, I worked for Australian Construction Services and all of our vehicles were 'z'-plated cars.

Edit: just found this on wikipedia. Would explain why you don't see many of them around

So vp commodores arent that uncommon. Although most have at some point been modified and are v6's. But theres a gem that i see from time to time. It appears to be original owner, it also appears to be washed more often then its driven. Its a vp executive, stock as a rock, but its a v8. Last week when i saw it it was mint, this morning when i saw it, the rear guard was caved in. A bit of a shame really.

Rare sighting on the golden mile of hepburn ave perth this arvo. Lotus europa.
You could car spot every day around that area I've mentioned before and still stand by that. Every week I get suprised by something just in normal week day 3pm traffic on the days I pick my kid up from greenwood primary school. Last week it was a 1970s BMW 02 or 3 series maybe single headlight e21? Some other days some custom USA car shows up from nowhere just driving along in regular midweek traffic.

E: The lotus was tiny, below the windows of most cars so it must be nerve-wracking to drive it in weekday traffic fearing being sideswiped all the time.

I spotted a Saab 9-3 wagon on the way to work the other day, one of the last before GM went bankrupt and killed the brand.

I don't think these were especially good or different compared to older Saab's, owing to GM's complete incompetence at managing brands.

Ford Spectron, and it’s Mazda E Series people mover counterpart (admittedly I’ve got one in the shed).

Any E Series with a V8.

A clean series one AU (again, currently having one under restoration).

A pre-VE V6 Commodore with a full exhaust.

I'd love a Ford Spectron - there was this absolutely mint yellow one for sale, I'm pretty sure its the one in this article, then I saw some ABC News program using it after it sold for like $10K.

https://www.caradvice.com.au/760350/...ford-spectron/

I don't know why I have a fetish for people movers at the moment

I'll probably have an Islander missus next and have 13 kids

be wary tho. my boss has the new Honda odyssey, thinks its huge.
My Territory with rear seat down carries way more than his gay underpowered van.
It has all the bells and whistles. pretty average for usable cargo space though

Look at the colour on this majestic beast, give it 2 years in my driveway and the clear will be peeling and the paint oxidized

Honda Odyssey is fail and AIDS - pain in the *** to work on, slower than a Thailand Special dual cab, would struggle to move up a hill with just my fat *** in it.

One of the last model SAABs has a 2.8L variation of the GM HF V6 (boat anchor Alloytec) with a turbo.

Should have been used in the Commodore IMO

One of the old blokes i used to work with owns a 1961 studebaker hawk. Its still on normal rego, not historic plates or club rego. Its from memory a 4.2L v8, but the studes made their own motors so parts are rare as hens teeth for them. Last time i spoke to this bloke, nothing had changed, as in the car only got taken off the battery tender 3 times a year. Once for a wash, once for fuel, and once for a rego inspection.
Interesting things about that car are, from ramblings, apparently the temp sender is in the back of the block where its the point of highest coolent temps. Im no expert so ill take that, apparently most other motors put them elsewhere. And this bloke bought a used supercharger from a golden hawk. They were factory supercharged, blow through setup, encased the carby so no need to boost reference the carb. But being a 1000 year old centrifical supercharger, it was rooted. So no boost for him.
But still, factory right hand drive, they were kind of a dictors car like the saab 900 but in the 60's.

If we're talking people movers I prefer the Toyota Vellfire over Elgrand any day of the week.

Think I might prefer the 20 series:

Would still bang the later though
