I love all the comments in the article and everyone whinges about how much fuel it uses and has some weird complex about it,
If you can afford a $200,000 ute, then you probably wouldn't care if fuel was $20/L you'd still be able to keep juice up to it |

If you take a look at new cars on carsales there's not a lot in the 200K bracket certainly no utes/trucks.
Its mostly dominated by Mercs - a new GLC63 is 200K. But there are People that spend up to $200K on their new Land Cruisers fitting extras... Will the 200K RAM TRX sell here? I recon about 20 of them would

The price gives heaps of head room for a Ranger Raptor R to be born with a Supercharged V8.

Well I'm out.....while it will fit a standard Aussie pallet in the rear, it cannot hold more than 767Kg or 743Kg if I order a sunroof...so I'm stuck with our Vito which can cover our needs of 920Kg...

If there was a maket for something like that in Australia, Ford would bring in the new F150 Raptor to compete with the Ram.

It makes more power, and will be hundreds of kg lighter due to the alloy body, so it should give the TRX a kicking. And as Franco said, if you have the coin to spend on a 200k vehicle, so what if it costs you $50-100 extra a week in fuel bills. It's not like these people even bat an eyelid at fuel costs. They probably have all kinds of other recreational toys too. |

If I was a Ritchie Rich, I'd buy it, stick a diesel-electric generator in the back (and another on a large trailer) and park it out front of the Greeeens head offices.

Just go put a blown 7.3 in the Ranger Raptor, problem solved because then the Ram looks very ordinary
Paging Mr. Harrop, Mr. Harrop thousands of people want to buy something more special than $200k Mustangs…. |

maybe that would encourage Ford to test the upper limits of the market, imagine the showroom With Ranger Raptor and a couple of F150 Raptors as range toppers… |

It is believed almost the entire first batch of 200 to 250 examples of the TRX being imported by Ram Trucks Australia are spoken for, or have “reserved” stickers on them.

I had a F150 Platinum on order for over 18 months, my supplier could not place an order for 1 thru out the whole of USA or Canada, i ended up cancelling the order , i purchased the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited within 6 months of placing the order i had the truck, and I am pleasantly surprised with its capability. I think the new Look sold me on the Ram , as i hated the older style in comparison.
