Depends where you are. In Melbourne, try a guy in Lilydale called Stuart Male, Soundworks in Ringwood, or the guys at Fretted Instruments in Fitzroy. Been to all 3 and all have high-profile customers and know their stuff

Yeah, for me I considered it the other way around....painting my car the same colour as my guitar!
I love that candy apple red...

tim2x - you have an Epi. Explorer Goth? cool, I've got an Epi. Explorer '57 style, Natural finish, gold hardware. Nice to find another Explorer player, there doesn't seem to be that many of us around.

Stuart Male and the guys at Real Guitars are both excellent choices for electrics. For acoustics the guys at the Acoustic Centre in South Melbourne are the only game in town.
I see the Orange guitars of mine got a mention in the Age last weekend in the Maton article so they can claim to be famous! Pics of the three Blood Orange ones below. Maton EST65 Custom in Blood Orange Maton EST65-12 Custom in Blood Orange Maton Mastersound 2000 Deluxe Custom in Blood Orange The EST65-12 is a hybrid and not a normal part of the range. The MS2000DX has custom black binding and fittings. While I am at it, a big vote of thanks to the team at Maton in Box Hill. Neville, Linda, Mark and Andy along with their team of craftspeople know how to turn out a fine instrument and nothing is too much trouble for them. That we have a facility of world renown right in our own back yard is a credit to them. Cheers Russ

Thats beautiful russellw
My flat black guitars scrach/dent easy... I'd love for some of the holes and little dents to be refilled and possibly a gloss put on.... you know how hard that would be? |

Maton are great for the customer who wants individuality or something specific in their guitars, they are very accomodating
It comes at a price, but there are plenty of artists who use a Maton as their main Model, particularly in acoustics Nice models there Russ, a collection of fine guitars is like a collection of cars- they all have their own look, sound and feel |

Larger ones can be swollen back out with steam, but the guitar tech will know the best way to go As for gloss you would have to just sand the whole thing back I'de say and refinish it |

I had the guys at belmore guitars setup one of my Jem's. Was very happy. At the time, they were a small outfit working out of home, i had just heard great things about him, so tried it out. Wasn't disappointed.
But the ones mentioned above are class acts. Good luck. |

I cant understand why you cant service/set it up yourself??
it was one of the first things I learnt to do when learning guitar depending on what sort of style your after all it comes down to is ride height, neck torque in combination with string guage and pickup type and height obviously neck size and fret type/condition will alter this floating bridge is a wee bit trickier but solid is a piece o weez |
