Default Electrical issue

Today i was driving along and my stereo turned and a warning message come up on the dash board saying engine fault/failure and the powertrain light come on had to pull over and turn car off at no stage during this time did the engine management light come on... hopefully someone can shread some light on where to start..thankyou.

Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Has been floating around the oze tech section for a long time and is always there to give advice when people have an issue.

Start by check the battery terminals and cables are in good condition with the term inals clean and tightly connected at the battery and battery to earth cable earthing points. Then check your fusible links.
